Our second foal of the season is another filly! She was born at 6:05am on January 27 weighing about 90 lbs. This filly is by Temple City out of Clarendon Fancy, by Malibu Moon.

Malibu Moon is the only stallion to sire multiple KY Derby and Preakness contenders in 2015. He has sired two fillies in training at Sagamore Farm: Purpose of Life and Future Show. Just the other day, Purpose of Life took second place in a race at Tampa Bay Downs.

Our new filly’s sire, Temple City, won at Del Mar, Hollywood Park, and Santa Anita. He is a leading second-crop sire with 3 G1 horses including our very own Miss Temple City! She is a 3YO filly with an impressive record, including a first place win at Pimlico’s Hilltop Stakes this past summer. Sagamore Farm is thrilled to welcome a second filly by Temple City!
