This week in history, Shared Account by Pleasantly Perfect out of Silk n’ Sapphire broke her maiden on October 31, 2008 and also won the Grade 1 Breeder’s Cup Filly and Mare Turf on November 5, 2010.
Shared Account maiden win
Now Sagamore Racing looks to the Breeders’ Cup on November 5 again with high hopes for Miss Temple City, also trained by H. Graham Motion! Although there are similarities between the two horses, Graham explained their differences well: “Shared Account was a little bit more of a distance horse, whereas Miss Temple City has an extraordinary amount of just speed, raw speed.”
“Graham has done just a wonderful job, and he has been a part of this farm since Kevin’s beginning. He has been a true friend and mentor, somebody we can call on for consultation a lot.” said Hunter Rankin, President of Sagamore Racing.
Shared Account is now mother to horses at Sagamore Farm too! Two-year-old Riley’s Choice by Distorted Humor out of Shared Account recently broke maiden at Laurel Park in Race 5, and we are very excited to see what her future holds at Sagamore Farm.
