It’s time for our 3rd Annual Sagamore Racing Naming Contest!
This year, we’ve partnered with Bridges Baltimore to help select a name. Youth and staff from the program submitted names, and they’ve been narrowed down to three finalists. Now it’s up to you to determine which name this 2-year old Dark Bay Filly by Wilburn out of Sweet Politics should have! Her pedigree also includes 1977 Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew, as well as horse racing legends like Secretariat and Sagamore’s own Native Dancer!
You can vote once every 24 hours for your favorite entry, with voting closing at 5 PM on Friday, February 6.
The Bridges program helps motivated Baltimore City youth find long term success inside and outside of school and provides extensive volunteer and growth opportunities for independent school students. The program has sites at both St. Paul’s School and Gilman School in Baltimore, and annually engages 185 local youth ages 9-18 in its nine-year long support system.
