It’s finally foaling season here at Sagamore Farm! At 2:15am on Janurary 16, Naïve Enough gave birth to our first foal of 2016, a beautiful filly by Verrazano. This is Naïve Enough’s first foal for Sagamore Farm, and Verrazano’s second.
Naïve Enough was sired by champion winner Street Sense (out of Light From Above) in Kentucky, and was purchased by Sagamore as a Yearling. Verrazano was a leading three-year old horse in 2013 with wins at the Haskell Invitational, Pegasus Stakes, Wood Memorial, and Tampa Bay Derby.
“Foaling season brings new excitement and anticipation to Sagamore Farm every year,” says Hunter Rankin, President of Sagamore Racing. “It provides a tiny window into the future, which allows us to dream again about the years ahead.”
Follow along as we share updates on the many foals we’ll welcome this winter!
