Sagamore Farm welcomed the first colts of the 2016 foaling season this week! The first colt came on February 4 at 7:00pm by Into Mischief out of Walkwithapurpose, and the second followed shortly after on February 5 at 5:20am by Uncle Mo out of Hit Squad. This is Hit Squad’s first foal and WWAP’s second!

Hit Squad had many impressive starts during her racing career and won a Starter Allowance race at Belmont Park in 2014. WWAP made her mark in 2012 and 2013, going undefeated at Laurel Park and winning multiple stakes races including the Maryland Juvenile Filly Championship.  She was named Maryland-bred 3YO Champion Filly of the Year in 2013. WWAP is by Candy Ride, and Hit Squad is by More Than Ready.

Into Mischief won the Damascus Stakes at Oak Tree in 2008 and the CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park in 2007. One of the industry’s top sires, he sired 19 BT Horses, 13 BT Winners, and 7 Graded BT Winners. In 2015, he bred 210 mares.

Uncle Mo went undefeated in his 2YO season in 2010 winning the Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at Churchill Downs, Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park, and Maiden Special Weight at Saratoga. He is a record breaking Champion Freshman sire in 2015.
