Glyndon, Md. – This week, the Maryland Horse Breeders Association (MHBA) awarded Sagamore Racing homebred filly Daring Dancer, by Empire Maker out of Vienna Affair, by Red Ransom, as its 2014 Champion Maryland-Bred 3-Year-Old Filly. This marks the second consecutive year a Sagamore Racing homebred has received the honor; now retired Walkwithapurpose was named the Champion Maryland-Bred 3-Year-Old Filly in honor of her success during the 2013 racing season.

“Sagamore Racing is proud to receive word of the championship honors awarded to Daring Dancer. Congratulations to the other nominees in the division,” said Tom Mullikin, General Manager of Sagamore Racing. “As breeders, we appreciate the tremendous amount of work and care that goes into getting a horse to the races. Everyone within the Sagamore and Herringswell programs had a part in Daring Dancer’s successful 2014 campaign. We are looking forward to a great 2015 season.”
